How We Work
Pool Contractors Bethesda designs and builds inground pools, spas and the decks around them in Bethesda and nearby Montgomery County communities, and we renovate pools that have worn out. Most of our work is in established neighborhoods where back yards are tighter, trees are older and the county's permit process shapes the design as much as taste does.
A project starts in your yard, not on a brochure. We measure the space, look at the slope, the trees, the drainage path and the route a truck or excavator would take to get in, and we ask who will swim and how: laps, kids, entertaining, a soak at the end of the day. From there we sketch options in gunite, fiberglass or a mix with a spa, and talk through what each one costs to build and to own.
Once you choose a direction, we prepare the site plan showing where the pool, equipment and barrier sit relative to your property lines, and we handle the permit submittals with Montgomery County's Department of Permitting Services, plus any town or village permit your address needs. If the project will disturb enough ground to need a sediment control permit, we tell you early, because that can bring tree planting requirements under the county's Tree Canopy Law.
Your quote is written and itemized: excavation and soil hauling, shell, plumbing, equipment, electrical, coping, decking, barrier and finish work each have a line. Nothing begins until you sign it, and any change is priced and approved in writing before the work happens.
How we work
- Miss Utility is called before any digging, as Maryland requires.
- Equipment placement and setbacks are planned before the permit is filed, not changed in the field.
- Inspections are scheduled at each stage DPS requires: after steel and bonding, at the deck, and at final.
- Lawn, driveways and trees outside the work zone are protected during access and hauling.
- You get startup and winterizing instructions written for the equipment we install.
